Meet Me on Monday - Featuring Club Pilates

Each Monday, the Bridges at 57th Street profiles a different business so you can get to know a little bit more about them. This week we proudly feature Club Pilates, which opened at The Bridges in August 2017.

The owners of Club are Michael and Tricia Safranski. Take a little time to meet them this Monday!

Why did you decide to come to the Bridges?
The Bridges offers a nice array of locally owned boutique and lifestyle shopping options and has a great location at 57th and Western, which can be easily and quickly accessed from I-229.  We felt that The Bridges was the ideal location for Club Pilates Sioux Falls as it is a boutique fitness studio that complements the other boutique and lifestyle businesses in the center.

Tell us about Club Pilatea?
Club Pilates Sioux Falls offers the best value and widest array of Pilates classes in Sioux Falls and is open seven days a week.  We teach eight different class formats and have four varying levels of difficulty to accommodate all fitness levels.  Every participant receives a full body Pilates workout in every class on brand-new state of the art equipment.

What is one thing people don’t know about you or your business that you would like them to know?
Club Pilates Sioux Falls offers a comprehensive Pilates teacher training program wherein all training occurs in the Sioux Falls studio. The teacher training program is a great opportunity for individuals who are seeking a new career path, a second source of income, or just looking to further their Pilates practice.

What are some ways you might give back to the community?
Club Pilates gives back to the community through hosting events such as canned food, sock and toys drives in which the items collected are donated to local charities and shelters.

What do you love most about owning your own business?
We love interacting with people in our community and being able to provide them with a quality, full body workout in each 50-minute workout.  However, one of the most rewarding aspects of the business is hearing directly from the members how the studio has helped them achieve their fitness goals and overcome aliments and injuries that they’ve been dealing with for years in some cases.

What is your biggest challenge and how do you work to overcome it?
One of the more challenging aspects of business is educating the community that Pilates is for EVERYBODY, not just women.  People of all ages and fitness levels can experience the benefits of a regular Pilates practice.  We spread the word by posting educational and informational articles on the Club Pilates Sioux Falls Facebook site as well as sponsor and attend local community events that target varying demographics.

Do you have a favorite product that you sell?
We sell a full array of fitness related retail merchandise from leggings and tanks to massage balls and muscle rub.  However, our favorite item that is sold are grip socks from ToeSox and TaviNoir.  Grip socks are required for Pilates class, but are also used by many members in their homes to prevent slips on hardwood and tile floors.

How do you work to better serve your customers?
Our instructors continuously seek to develop creative class flows to keep their Pilates workout fresh and exciting with the right amount of challenge.  We also listen to our members to determine how we can best serve their needs.
